Splash Into Fall Sports!

Temperatures may be dropping in some parts of the country, but that doesn’t mean kids have to take it indoors! There is still plenty of time to get kids signed up for Autumn outdoor activities, but with so many options available today, the biggest question is which one is right for your kiddo?

Soccer

Soccer has been a classic Fall sport for generations and for good reason! It allows for team building, lots of running and plenty of play time. With 11 different players and positions on the field, kids can improve their speed, agility and coordination. This fast-paced sport offers a taste of healthy competition while also encouraging sportsmanship and lots of fun.

Track/Cross-Country

Track and cross-country, unlike many sports, are often practiced as a co-ed team, which makes it a wonderful opportunity for kids to make new friends. This sport is great for instilling healthy, active lifestyles, as it can be practiced alone during the off-season. Competition distances vary depending on the age of the athletes so the younger kids are never working too hard.

Flag Football

Flag football is a non-contact sport that builds self-esteem and teaches the fundamentals of the game without tackling. It allows kids to feel like a part of an exciting American tradition – they can watch their favorite teams on TV and then get outside and test their own speed and dexterity. Best of all, it is tons of fun!

Water Polo

In water polo, players score points by throwing a ball into the opposing team’s goal, all while in six or more feet of water! Seven players are in the pool for each team at any given time and kids who love water will excel at this high-energy sport.

Field Hockey

A sport that dates back to the Middle Ages in Europe, field hockey is a fast-moving sport played on grass or turf. Each team has 11 players on the field and speed is key. This is a great sport for those who love ice hockey but can’t play again until winter. Though the sticks are different from ice hockey, similar skills are learned and practiced.

If these sports don’t interest your kids, plenty of non-organized sport options are available this time of year, such as cycling, karate and yoga. No matter what sport they choose, help keep your kids hydrated with Juicy Juice™ Splashers™. Delicious flavors like Fruit Punch, Berry Lemonade, Peach Mango and Tropical Twist are all a refreshing blend of fruit juice and water that give our Fall athletes the water they need with the taste they love.
