My son, Isaac, shows me his goodness every day by visiting our elderly neighbor, Miss Dora, whenever we go for a walk he asks me if we can visit Miss Dora. He gives her a hug as soon as he sees her. He has no idea how much these acts of goodness mean to Miss Dora.
Miss Dora is a widow and most of her family lives out of state. Isaac's visits have bought her a lot of joy. Because of my son, our family has developed a close friendship with Miss Dora, his goodness has become contagious!

My son observed me and my daughter going out on "garbage walks" and wanted to join. We purchased him a grabber arm and my daughter helped him learn how to use it to bag litter around our community.
He is so aware of the need to keep our environment clean and healthy. I couldn't be more proud of both of them.

This sweet little 3-year-old reindeer helped pass out socks, hand warmers, and other goodies to the homeless just before Christmas. With each Merry Christmas and pair of socks he gave, you could see the true happiness he brought!
He continued to bring laughter and joy to the homeless after all the goodies were gone by playing tag and giving big hugs. The goodness in his heart that he displayed that day continued after we left. He didn't want to leave and asked when we could do it again.

I took my son to the local children's home for Christmas to sponsor a little boy. We went to the store to get his list and he was so proud to pick out this item.
Here is when he bought this game with his own birthday money. He insisted he wanted to use his birthday money to buy it for him. It was a very proud and humbling moment. He was so happy and they played for about two hours together.

A couple weeks ago we went camping at the beach (we live on Oahu so it was cold and windy, but still actually warm and fun). The entire beach was lined with plastic debris that must have blown in with the strong winds we were having.
My daughter and her friends decided on their own that they would pick it up bag by bag and dump it in the trash bins.

My daughter Haley was wondering what she could do for her less fortunate classmates and came up with the Y.A.N.A (You Are Not Alone) Club. It's a safe space for everyone, with fun activities. Haley had to ask permission and she organized everything herself.
Now we have 2 YANA Clubs at school and the students love it and other elementary schools in our district want to start their own. The YANA Careline is ready to sponsor some gear and some high school clubs are ready to help. It is becoming way bigger than we ever imagined.

Our oldest daughter, Leila, has a generous spirit. She enjoys using part of her allowance to do random acts of kindness such as leaving money at gas pumps with a handwritten note to brighten someone's day.
She recently wrote, "Whether it's for a couple of gallons of gas, a snack or a drink, I hope this [$5] brightens your day! This is my allowance and I'm paying it forward!"

Mattie loves to educate and bring awareness to children who live with Congenital Heart Defects. Especially, since she herself has had to overcome several obstacles, treatments, and surgeries from the same defects. Mattie Marie volunteered to take part in a Calendar Fundraiser to raise funds for Oklahoma's OU Children's Hospital.
This was through an organization called Mended Little Hearts of OK. She continues to help raise funds and awareness every year! She also plans to become a Pediatric Cardiologist when she grows up to save the lives of other children, just as someone did for her.

This blanket draped behind her is a photo of her aunt who had just turned 19 and recently been diagnosed with cancer. My daughter and teammates hung this blanket up and made bracelets; the girls told her story as they sold the bracelets to family, friends, and teams at the field and ended up raising $47 to give to her aunt.
She was so proud and I, as her mom, am even more proud of the heart she has for others. When asked why she did it, she said because "y'all taught us family always comes first".

My daughter Olivia and her sisters held a charity event at their elementary school to create Birthday Baskets for children in need. The idea was sparked by the need to strengthen the family bond to keep drugs, violence, and crime from tearing apart families.
The birthday baskets were filled with all the items needed to celebrate a child's birthday to create positive memories and strengthen the family bond. Over the course of 2 events in 2 years, with the help their classmates, they created 60 Birthday Baskets and delivered them to the Lord's Pantry non-profit.
