DIY Tile Coasters
Whether you’re looking for a creative Mother’s Day gift from dad and the kids or an activity for your little ones to do, these DIY coasters are easy to make and fun for everyone.
Materials:
- Your choice of acrylic paints
- Triple thick glaze spray (to be used by adults only)
- Ceramic tile
- Rubber furniture bumpers
- Paint brush (in case you want to add additional embellishments)
- Cleanup supplies
Step 1:
Choose your paints and make sure to pour them onto a paper plate or an easily washable surface.
Step 2:
Have your little one dip his or her hand into the paint. Parents can help here and keep napkins handy for cleanup!
Step 3:
Make sure you’ve got plenty of paint on your hands.
Step 4:
Press your hands onto the tile to apply the paint. Repeat with as many tiles and as many color combinations as you’d like.
Step 5:
Once you’ve finished painting it, let it dry. See paint instructions for drying time.
Step 6:
Once dried, you (or another adult) can safely spray Glaze on the dried tile in a well-ventilated area. Make sure to follow all package instructions and let the tile dry for 24 hours.
Step 7:
Now you’ve got a colorful coaster ready to brighten up any room in your house.
