Do-It-Yourself Tulip Stamp

April showers might bring May flowers, but with this simple craft, you and your kids can make May flowers any time! Here’s how to do it:

1. Gather your materials. You’ll need paper, washable paint, a paper plate, a paintbrush and an apple. Choose an apple that isn’t too ripe – you don’t want a mushy or juicy apple messing up your tulips!

2. Cut the apple at both sides just before the core so the flesh side is flat. Cut two triangles from the top to create a three-pronged tulip shape. Now you have your stamps!

3. Pour the paint onto the paper plate. Be generous with the paint so your stamp can get fully covered. Then, dip your stamp.

4. Place the stamp onto the sheet of paper and press down hard. Once the tulip flowers are on the page, use the paintbrush to draw stems and leaves.
