Bottle Cap Fish Art
Who says you have to go to the beach to get an ocean view? With just a few craft materials that you may already have on hand and some spare caps from Juicy Juice bottles, it’s easy to create a wonderful undersea scene with your little ones. Gather up the supplies below and dive in for some fishy fun!
Materials:
- 5 caps from Juicy Juice bottles
- Various colors of construction paper including a large, blue sheet
- Googly eyes
- Paper plates
- Glue
- Glitter glue
- Scissors
- A pen
- Green tissue paper
- A paper straw
- Your favorite colors of paint
Step 1.
Begin by painting a bottle cap a nice solid color and then cut a triangle out of construction paper that’s just a little bit bigger than the cap. Place both on top of your blue construction paper.
Step 2.
Now it’s time to grab your glue. First, glue down your triangle. Next, glue the bottle cap on top. Finally, glue a googly eye on to create a little fish.
Step 3.
Now it’s time to add some details. Use your glitter glue to add some dots and lines onto your fish to represent his scales.
Step 4.
Dip your straw into some white paint, and then use it to create bubbles rising up from your fish.
Step 5.
Repeat steps 1-4 to create the rest of your fish. Try to arrange them in straight columns with a bit of space in between, so that you can complete the next step.
Step 6.
Now scrunch up some tissue paper and glue it between your fish to create some fun seaweed. Once you’re done, give everything time to dry and then it’s ready to be hung up and displayed!
