Ice Pop Stick Picture Frame
Share your family’s favorite memory from this summer or your child’s favorite drawing with a fun and easy ice pop stick picture frame.
Materials:
- Ice pop sticks (if recycled, clean and dry)
- Acrylic paint (your choice of colors)
- Any string or twine
- Hot glue gun
- Paint brush
- Paper plate or napkins as a palette
- Scissors
Step 1:
First, have your child paint 4 ice pop sticks in whatever colors they like. Make sure to let the paint dry for about 5-10 minutes.
Step 2:
Parents, when the paint is dry, begin hot gluing the ice pop sticks by their ends to create a square. Parents only should hot glue the square and allow the hot glue a minute or two to dry.
Step 3:
Once the hot glue has dried and you’ve got a square, cut a piece of string and hot glue it to the backside of the frame, then let it dry.
Step 4:
Finally, find a photo of your favorite summer memory or your kid’s favorite drawing, cut it to fit withing the square and have your child tape it gently to the back of the frame. Finally, hang it in a secure place for everyone to see.
